AZDOME M550 dash cam is equipped with a Super Capacitor and does not require external power packs or batteries. It is essential to power the dash cam by connecting it to your car using one of the three methods: direct connection to a fuse, a cigarette lighter adapter, or an OBD cable. To enable parking mode, it is necessary to purchase a hard-wiring kit with three wires, ensuring the output current reaches 5V/2.5A.

To connect the AZDOME hardwire kit correctly, follow these steps: connect the red wire to a constant power source, the yellow wire to ACC, and the black wire to a ground. Once the hardwire kit is connected appropriately, navigate to the "Park" menu in the camera settings. Select "connected," enable parking monitoring, and exit the menu to save the settings. When the vehicle turns on ACC, the AZDOME M550 dash cam will automatically power on. Conversely, when the vehicle turns off, the camera will enter Time-Lapse Parking Mode, Motion Detection Parking Mode, or Collision Detection Parking Mode, depending on the hardwiring configuration.

By converting 12V-24V to output 5V/2.5A max, the hardwire kit ensures continuous power supply to the dash cam.
